Pop the SIM out. Use a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on the end.  Make sure the chip is clean/unscorched/unscratched. and reinsert back into sidekick 3.  That should fix it, if not reorder a SIM from T-mobile, they will replace the SIM for free within 3 days.
